
| 2006 | Deborah Two – Giarmata. In May 17 volunteers commenced on a project where TFR have been providing know how and finance to Misso Link International in their provision for Girls in desperate need of help. Deborah Two is to be the second home for eleven girls and this will be the first time TFR have been free to give the practical help which will enable MLI to open the home this Summer. | 2005 | In the Spring TFR commenced work on a new project to make Casa Harului ‘Self Sufficient’ This is an exciting development which following early discussion and financial support now needed a practical input from TFR. The LactoBeni Creamery (see Ongoing Projects). A development in the hamlet of Barsau down from Casa Harului where it is planned to Process milk and cheese to provide income to people of surrounding villages and meet the Complex running costs. Bethlehem Christian Centre – Hunedoara In the Autumn a team of twenty two returned to continue their work at the Creamery also to assist in the finally work before attending the deication ceremony with 300 other people including, the Major, Church Leaders and supporters from America, Holland and Scotland. |
| 2004 | In the Spring TFR made finishing touches to Casa Harului. Centrul Crestin Betleem (Bethlehem Christian Centre) was the the venue for a team of 15 men in the Summer to provide urgently needed heating and lighting for the huge Community Centre. (see Ongoing Projects). |
| 2003 | Having sent volunteer teams twice a year since the turn of the century, the whole complex was dedicated in October when representatives from the British Embassy and people from around the world attended the completion Ceremony. |
| 2000 | Casa Harului. Holidays in tents for disabled children commenced in Varmaga for 460 children over eleven weeks of camping. In May,having driven for three days, the ten men eventually struggled up the five miles of unmade track leaving their vehicles below and the TFR Task Force were ready to start work immediately on their new project. (see Early Projects). |
| 1999 | In the Autumn volunteers driving two large vans the 1500 mile journey (spending 7 hours getting past the Border Guards) arrived after three days travel with Baby Bottles for the Hospital, Tools for Folt (see Early Projects) gifts for the Basilica and the special parting present for the children’s delight at the Orphanage. Projects were now taken on well beyond Deva as TFR kept abreast of Political developments, working with the Child Protection Agency, local Major and Christian Organisations. |
| 1998 | Over the next four year many supplies were taken to both the hospital and wherever children were in need. TFR volunteer teams concentrated on making the Orphanage habitable (see Early Projects). |

| 1994 | Deva Orphanage was found to be as filthy, unhealthy and drab as the hospital had been initially. Resolved to return to build a new kitchen and toilet block, Peter retired from Senr. Probation Officer and following a chance meeting with Brian Porter, Task Force Romania was formed. |
| 1992 | An ad-hoc group of C.S.Offenders plus colleagues returned twice that year to replumb and rewire the hospital –now ‘smell free’ (see Early Projects). During this time Thames TV made a film of the team at work. Using the Baptist Basilica (where they had made friends including an Interpreter, supplied tools and used as Base Camp) they went on to look at other challenges. |
| 1991 | Peter Spring went out to Romania with Michael Varah, both with the Probation Service to see what could be done. Peter led a team of Community Service workers from Send Prison in Surrey to Deva Children’s Hospital. A team of 4 Leaders and 11 Offenders arrived to clean, paint and repair electrical fittings to brighten the stinking miserable rundown building. |
| 1990 | Anneka Rice returned from Romania to reveal appalling scenes on BBC Television of orphaned children. |
| 1989 | Christmas Day - Nicolae Ceaucescu (Communist Dictator) is executed. |
